Li Xinyi, Wang Han, Yu Wei, Liu Meng and Yao Runming
Taking a typical urban residential building in Chongqing as an example, analyses the heating and cooling loads and energy consumption of existing residential buildings using EnergyPlus software. Investigates the heating and cooling loads using different passive measure combinations. Aiming at 20 kWh/m2 of the annual total space heating and cooling energy consumption target, calculates the lowest annual performance factor under different passive technology design combinations as a reference for active system performance improvement. Proposes a low energy consumption retrofit strategy combining passive technology optimization and active performance improvement, which provides a pathway and a method for energy efficient building design and system operation of existing residential buildings in Chongqing of the Yangtze River Basin.
